White Doesn’t Have to be Boring

It seems like there is an extreme reaction to white walls by so many people. “I can’t paint my apartment! The white is so boring.” And then when they can paint a wall….they are itching for color so much that they paint it an unnecessarily drastic color or contractor’s beige. But painting over your white walls doesn’t have to happen and white doesn’t have to be boring, it can be incredibly elegant and beautiful, while also architectural. And who says a white room has to read white? Better yet, you have a truly blank canvas to do anything you want with your fabrics, artwork, and light fixtures. Check out the beautiful white rooms below. Need a white paint? Try Benjamin Moore’s Decorator’s White or Farrow and Ball’s All White.

the mirror is the stand out piece - it would be lost if the walls were painted to a color, and the trim painted white
